AROMATHERAPY WORKSHOPS

Since opening the shop back in May, we have been asked daily if we do workshops, the initial plan was to find our feet, ride out our first summer and Christmas, and see how things went with the other dreaded 'C' word (covid) with view to plan in some workshops in the new year. However, there is also no time like the present, people are being very sensible in our local area, and our customers have been amazing, so without any further ado, the workshops have been planned in! (for September at least)  We have 3 booked (one is already full) so the remaining two which you can book onto are...  Home and Mind – Reed Diffusers Friday 10th September...

Blending Time

We love the days experimenting with blends.Give these a go...       Pure essential oils are so versatile, there is absolutely an option for everyone: 1) In the bath, 15-20 drops of your oils is plenty.  2) In an oil burner or diffuser. 3) Through some carrier oil for massage or pulse points 8-10 drops is plenty per 150-200ml.  4) Mixed into some Himalayan or Epsom salts, again, 8-10 drops in a handful of salt is all you need. Breathe deep and let these amazing oils get to work. (Please never apply essential oils to your skin undiluted, and never ingest them. Always consult with your healthcare professional if you are under their care for any matter and...

Wood-Wick candles

Wood-Wick Candle Care Wood wick candles are fabulous as they have a much greater scent throw than traditional cotton wicks, they look beautiful and sound lovely. Do you have enough spoons?

A few months ago, we hired a dog trainer (hear me out... this does relate to aromatherapy) to help us with our pup, who isn't always great with other dogs when they jump up and down at him when we are out on a walk. Long story short, it appears that our poor fur-baby is frightened of other dogs, but to help us understand his behavior the trainer introduced us to the 'Spoon Theory'.  The Spoon theory states that on a good day, our dog, Otis wakes up with six spoons. (we don't quite know why its spoons, but nonetheless...) each time something happens that causes him stress or anxiety, he will lose a spoon. If we were to go...

How are you sleeping?

With the ever changing landscape that has been 2020 and 2021, its inevitable that most of us have struggled at some point or another, missing our family and friends, worrying about the impact Covid-19 is having on them, and ourselves, our jobs, finances, health, even running out of things to say to each other!  One of the first casualties of stress and worry is our sleep, not enough, or poor quality, both can leave us feeling sick, exhausted and grouchy.  One of the quickest, easiest and (for me) most effective solutions to suffering with sleep is to turn to my trusty bottle of lavender oil. You can diffuse it, pop it in an oil burner, mix it in with a...
